Bangladeshi-born singer Shantoneel Dhar fuses Indian and Bangla traditions with contemporary sounds, resonating with diverse audiences. Raised in Queens, New York, his unique sonic tapestry draws from Hindi pop, bhajan, and Sufi music.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Trained from age four under his mother and mentors Pandit Ramkanai Das and Pandit Ramesh Misra, Shantoneel\u2019s early career earned multiple national awards in Bangladesh, including the Anannya Award for Rabindra Sangeet excellence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Founder of Gaan Mela, a production company and record label, Shantoneel showcases talent across genres, promoting Bangla music globally. Gaan Mela\u2019s debut release, \u201cMaa Go<\/a>,\u201d blends traditional and contemporary elements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alongside his musical pursuits, he has a successful 25-year career in software and is involved in philanthropic efforts, including supporting victims of domestic violence and promoting children\u2019s education in Bangladesh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
